This Privacy Policy explains how Comix Vault ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Comix Vault app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo, when you sign in with Google or create an email/password account.
• Collection data: the comic details, cover photos, wishlist entries, notes, reviews, and ratings you choose to add to your vault.
• Usage data: basic information about how you use the Service, such as feature usage and app version, to help us fix bugs and improve the app.
• Payment information: if you subscribe, payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we do not collect or store your full card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and sync your collection and wishlist across your devices.
• To power optional features you choose to use, such as AI-assisted cover identification, cover-art lookup, and eBay price checks.
• To process subscription payments and manage your account.
• To respond to support requests sent to support@comixvault.net.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

3. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with the following third parties, only as needed to provide the Service:

• Firebase / Google Cloud: account authentication and cloud storage/sync of your collection data and cover photos.
• Stripe: subscription payment processing.
• eBay Partner Network: if you check prices or tap a listing link, eBay may receive information about that request; Comix Vault may earn a commission on qualifying purchases.
• Metron Comic Book Database and other AI/cover-lookup providers: used to identify scanned covers and find cover art you search for. Photos you submit for scanning are sent to these providers to generate a result.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Your Choices and Rights

• You can edit or delete individual comics, wishlist items, notes, and photos at any time from within the app.
• You can request deletion of your entire account and associated data by emailing support@comixvault.net.
• You can disable notifications and shared-vault links at any time from your Profile settings.

5. Data Retention and Security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
